Tis the season to enjoy great food, and even better side dishes! Here’s my Sauteed Green Beans with Sliced Almonds recipe, a quick and easy side dish you can devour for your next holiday meal. Another great thing is, the kids will love it too!
Why Green Beans are One of My Favorites
What I love about green beans personally is that they’re just so versatile. You can cook them, sautee them, bake them, etc. You cant fail with these crunchy strings of goodness!
Even with so much holiday preparing and cooking, a quick and simple dish will come in really handy. Thats why I chose to share with you this Sauteed Green Beans and Sliced Almonds recipe as it’s been one of my favorite side dishes to make!
The most amazing part about it is that the kids love it too, and we all know kids can be super picky with their veggies. So, with that being said, try this recipe out for your next family dinner or your upcoming holiday get-together! It’ll be a hit for sure.

Tips Before Starting This Green Beans Recipe
- Buy bagged, already washed string beans if you’re pressed on time.
- Regardless of which you buy, I prefer to always cut off the ends of my green beans.
- Save yourself even more time and buy already sliced and toasted almonds!
- You can also always clean and prep your string beans the day before, and store them in the fridge until ready to use. It’ll save you lots of time once you’re ready to cook.
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lb green beans
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
How to Make Sauteed Green Beans with Sliced Almonds
- Clean the string beans and cut off the ends.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter, then add the garlic. Mix this around for 2-3 minutes until the garlic is nicely fragrant.


3. Add in the green beans, season with salt, and sautee for a few minutes.

4. Add in 1/4 cup of water and cook for about 10 minutes.
5. Add in the almonds and mix well. Use more salt if needed and enjoy!

Ingredients
