Creamed Spinach Recipe

Thick, creamy, fresh, and leafy! It’s my easy 20-minute Creamed Spinach recipe. This a versatile dish that you can eat almost anything with, I love pairing it with my favorite vegan protein and some buttery mashed potatoes. With all that spinach, it’ll be a great source of vitamins for you and your family!

The Easiest Creamed Spinach You’ll Make!

This recipe only contains a few ingredients that you won’t need to run to the store for, you might just already have everything you need!

All this recipe asks for is butter, garlic, spinach, flour, salt and pepper, and half & half! There’s nothing complex you’ll need to do besides heating and mixing.

This should only take you 20 minutes, so you’ll be done creating a delicious and filling creamed spinach in no time. Seems easy enough for you? I hope so! Let’s get started on this amazing dish you have to try at least once this year!

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb spinach
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 1 1/4 cup half & half

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter on medium-low heat. Then add the garlic and sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add in the spinach gradually as it wilts and let it simmer until all of the spinach has cooked down.
  3. Add in the flour and mix well.
  4. Pour in the half and half and add the salt. Simmer on low for about 10 minutes. The spinach will be creamy.
