When life gives you lemons, make Lemon Butter Linguine!
I am so excited to share another yummy pasta recipe with you. It’s another super quick, simple, and flavorful dish that’ll take you just under 30 minutes and can serve 4!
Let’s get started with what you’ll need!
Ingredients
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 1 stick butter
- 4 garlic cloves, grated (grating releases more flavor)
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- pinch of ground pepper
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
Directions to a Delicious Lemon Butter Linguine
First, cook your linguine in salted water just under al dente. Make sure to save half of a cup of water once it’s done cooking as you’ll be adding it to your sauce later.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, melt one stick of butter and add in your garlic. Note that grating the garlic will allow for the release of more flavor from the garlic itself! Cook for a couple of minutes until fragrant.
Add your lemon juice, lemon zest, ground pepper and heavy cream. Simmer on low for about 10 min and mix often. You will also notice the cream start to thicken.
Add in the linguine next and the 1/2 cup pasta water you initially saved, and simmer everything for another 5 minutes until all of the deliciousness is well combined!
You can now remove from heat and add in the parmesan. Add a pinch of salt if needed, depending on your taste.
Mix everything well, taking in all that you’ve accomplished to create such a yummy pasta, and enjoy!
